Alexsis is a high school student and an environmental justice activist from the community of Mecca. Following his passion for community involvement, he joined Alianza Coachella Valley’s Youth Organizing Council and their Environmental Justice campaign’s Youth Caretakers cohort. Alexsis also contributes to ongoing research at the Salton Sea by participating in Alianza’s Community Science initiative, learning about the connection between water quality and air quality at the Salton Sea.
