Barbara Workman
Executive Director @ Desert Access and Mobility
Barbara Workman is a distinguished nonprofit executive whose career spans more than three decades of visionary leadership in California and Northern Virginia (DC area). Barbara has served as Executive Director of multiple nonprofit organizations while also holding leadership positions in city and county governments, California Community Colleges and as a consultant specializing in fund development, strategic planning, governance and board development.
Barbara is also recognized as a founding member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals {AFP} of our Desert Chapter. She has helped establish the organization for fundraising and philanthropy throughout the Coachella Valley. Her leadership helped create a lasting network dedicated to advancing ethical fundraising, professional development throughout the community.
Throughout her career Barbara has served on numerous nonprofit boards of directors, providing strategic leadership and mentoring nonprofit professionals while helping organizations strengthen their financial stability and community impact.
Today Barbara serves as Executive Director of Desert Access and Mobility, where she leads the organization’s mission of providing safe, reliable, and accessible transportation services to adults, veterans, and individuals with disabilities throughout the Coachella Valley.
