Founder @ AGC | Data and Impact Collective

Dr. Angelica Geter is one of the nation’s leading public health experts, a keynote speaker, first Chief Health Officer of the City of Atlanta, and a champion for wellness-centered leadership, known for advancing equity through strategic leadership, cross-sector collaboration, and data-driven innovation.

With more than 20 years of experience across government, healthcare, corporate, and community systems, Dr. Geter designs and leads national, state, and local health strategies that drive measurable improvements in community well-being through her consulting firm, AGC | Data and Impact Collective. AGC closes healthcare deserts through advising, strategic planning, and data analysis, helping public agencies, health systems, foundations, and private-sector partners translate data into action, align stakeholders around shared priorities, and mobilize investments that produce sustainable, equity-centered systems change. Recent named engagements include co-leading the Desert Healthcare District & Foundation’s five-year regional health strategy for the Coachella Valley, leading the development of healthy neighborhood metrics for the City of Atlanta Neighborhood Reinvestment Initiative, serving as Senior Health and Equity Advisor for 26Health’s Atlanta expansion. Increasingly, her work also centers wellness-centered leadership: drawing on both professional expertise and lived experience with burnout, she guides executives and change-makers to prevent and recover from burnout by integrating self-care, emotional intelligence, and strategic thinking into how they lead.

As Atlanta’s first Chief Health Officer, Dr. Geter advised the Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and city leadership on public health strategy for more than 450,000 residents, led the city’s COVID-19 response and developed its first safety protocols, directed the #ATLStrong initiative for equitable testing and resources, co-authored the first city report analyzing racial disparities in COVID-19 outcomes, and convened Atlanta’s first Emotional Wellness Summit for Women.
