Mariela Loera is the Eastern Coachella Valley Regional Policy Manager at Leadership Counsel for Justice and Accountability. Leadership Counsel who advocates at the local, regional, and statewide level on the interrelated issues of land use, energy, transportation, water and wastewater, housing, agriculture, and climate change through the lenses of environmental justice, equitable investment and development, civil rights, and government accountability.
With a BS in Sustainability Studies from UC Riverside, as well as a Masters of Public Policy from UC Riverside, Mariela‘s background in environmental justice includes policy and research with a focus on climate, air quality and energy justice.
