Mark Talkington is the founder and publisher of The Palm Springs Post, a community news outlet that launched in 2021. He has been a part-time or full-time desert resident since 1993. In his”day job,” he works at Microsoft—where he has been since 2002—as both a news editor and AI project manager. Earlier this year, he co-founded and launched Satchel AI, an innovative platform designed to support local journalists by leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance the efficiency and quality of news reporting.
