Melanie Lewis
Executive Director @ The Pink Journey Foundation
After being diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2019, Melanie fostered a partnership between Breastlink and her retail team to fundraise for The Pink Journey Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on breast health and awareness. Through her own journey, Melanie felt passionate about educating others and providing a support system to all. Breast cancer inspired Melanie to use her leadership to encourage others, emphasize education, and create a community to support others through challenging times.
Melanie joined The Pink Journey Foundation as the Executive Director in January 2022. In October 2022, The Pink Journey Foundation launched the Rolling with Hope program offering no cost mobile mammography for women 40 and older in needed communities in Southern California. The program has offered over 1,000 mammograms to date. Taking Maddy, RadNet’s mobile mammogram coach, out to vulnerable communities allows more availability to this service where otherwise it may not. The hope is to provide clear results nd early detection if cancer is present.
Melanie is passionate about supporting and educating individuals about breast health. As a survivor, she understands the importance of being surrounded by a community that cares. She is dedicated to the goal of increasing knowledge, spreading awareness, and strengthening an already vibrant community through the use of breast education, mobile mammography, and resources to support breast health for all women in need.
