Water & Climate Policy Manager @ Leadership Counsel for Justice and Accountability
Nataly Escobedo Garcia is the Water and Climate Policy Manager for Leadership Counsel for Justice and Accountability based in their Coachella office. She holds a BA from University of California, Santa Cruz, in Latin American and Latina/o Studies, as well as an M.A in Anthropology from California State University-Los Angeles.
She recently received her Ph.D. in Social Ecology at the University of California, Irvine where her dissertation focused on the implementation of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act in the San Joaquin Valley. She is particularly interested in how issues of water injustice, water rights, and water governance impact people of color, low-income people, and farmworker communities in California.
