Dr. Thomas Spiglanin is the Director of Education for Palm Springs Windmill Tours. He’s overseen the tours’ transformation into an educational experience thousands of visitors enjoy yearly. His passion is teaching the public how wind and other renewable energy sources can power our homes, protect the environment, and build a sustainable future.
Before joining Palm Springs Windmill Tours, Dr. Spiglanin worked in the aerospace industry for over 30 years. His background merges science, engineering, and education, emphasizing renewable energy and environmental protection. For more than two decades, he managed technical education for the scientists and engineers responsible for national security space programs.
Dr. Spiglanin earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Wesleyan University and his B.S. from the University of California at Riverside. He has published over twenty refereed journal articles in chemistry and physics and authored Backstories of the Palm Springs Windmills.
